Long-standing Maid2Clean Franchisee Sheena covers Lincolnshire & Brighton but often travels around the UK and Europe in her motorhome. Here she shares her experiences of running her Maid2Clean locations.
What were you doing prior to Maid2Clean?
“Prior to running Maid2Clean I was a Sales Rep. I worked long hours and there was no real room for progression and ultimately, I was helping build someone else’s business.”
Why did you choose Maid2Clean Franchise?
“I’d started my own business previously and spent months looking for a tried and tested business opportunity. I came across Maid2Clean and it sounded honest and I thought it was something I could do. I asked Mike a lot of questions. It was an important investment, not just in terms of money but in my future.”
How has Maid2Clean impacted on your life?
“Running my own Maid2Clean business has changed my life. It’s enabled us to have the lifestyle we want to have. My life is my own. I’m in charge of my own time. I fit work in with me and my family. We go on holiday a lot in our motorhome and I can easily take the business with me and work flexibly. I have the freedom to choose when I work and for how long. I now see my grandchildren more and I can pick them up from school.”
How do you feel about running your Maid2Clean business?
“I feel empowered. I take control of what I want to do, when I want to do it and how I want to do it, because I can. Having such flexibility motivates you to look after your customers and cleaners so you can have the business and lifestyle you want to. I run my Maid2Clean business myself. I’m in control of my own business and run it how I want to. I know I can work to 80 years old if I want to. I won’t be forced to retire at a set age with a small pension.”
What advice would you give to potential franchisees?
“The advice I would give to people starting off their Maid2Clean business is no one else will run the business or care about it the way you do. I keep control of all aspects of my own business. To begin with it can be demanding, but once you get a handle on what you need to do you settle into the role. What you put into Maid2Clean you get out of it. You need to be determined to create your sustainable business and consistent in repeating patterns that work to make your business a success.”
